Christian Education & Youth
The Christian Education and Youth Committee helps nurture the spiritual growth of children and youth at Hallsville Presbyterian Church. Through teaching, fellowship, and meaningful learning opportunities, the committee seeks to help the next generation grow in their understanding of Scripture and develop a strong foundation of faith. This ministry supports children, youth, and families by creating engaging opportunities to learn about God’s love and explore the teachings of the Bible in ways that are appropriate for each stage of life.
Responsibilities
The Christian Education and Youth Committee works to support educational opportunities that encourage spiritual growth among children and youth within the church. This includes helping organize and support Children’s Church lessons, encouraging participation in youth activities, and identifying opportunities for learning and fellowship that help young people grow in their faith. The committee also works to ensure that educational programs reflect the values and teachings of the church while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for young learners.
Typical Events & Activities
Throughout the year, the Christian Education and Youth Committee helps coordinate programs that encourage faith development among children and youth. One of the primary ministries supported by the committee is Children’s Church, where children learn about Scripture through age-appropriate lessons, discussion, and activities during the worship service. The committee may also assist with seasonal programs such as Vacation Bible School, youth fellowship gatherings, and other educational events that help children and youth engage with the life of the church.
