Mission and Outreach
The Mission and Outreach Committee helps Hallsville Presbyterian Church live out its calling to serve others and share the love of Christ both within our community and beyond. This committee seeks opportunities for the congregation to participate in meaningful acts of service, generosity, and compassion. Through mission projects, outreach ministries, and special offerings, the committee encourages members of the church to put their faith into action by supporting those in need and strengthening relationships within our community.
Responsibilities
The Mission and Outreach Committee works to identify and support ministries that allow the church to serve others in practical and meaningful ways. This includes coordinating outreach projects, encouraging participation in mission opportunities, and promoting special offerings that support the wider work of the church. The committee also helps the congregation stay informed about mission efforts and encourages members to take part in serving both locally and beyond.
Typical Events & Activities
Throughout the year, the Mission and Outreach Committee supports several initiatives that allow the church to serve others. One important ministry is the Blessing Barn, which provides assistance and resources to members of the community. The committee also helps coordinate support for families and individuals experiencing hardship by organizing cards, gifts, or special offerings when appropriate. In addition, the committee promotes and helps collect special denominational offerings such as One Great Hour of Sharing, encouraging the congregation to participate in the mission work of the wider church.
Ways to Help
Members of the congregation can serve alongside the Mission and Outreach Committee in a variety of ways. Volunteers may help with community outreach projects, assist with the Blessing Barn ministry, or support special mission offerings and events. Others may participate by helping organize outreach initiatives or simply lending a hand when opportunities to serve arise. Every act of service, large or small, helps the church reflect Christ’s love to those around us.
