Worship Committee
The Worship Committee supports and strengthens the worship life of the church. This committee works to ensure that services are meaningful, organized, and welcoming for the congregation and visitors.
Responsibilities
The Worship Committee helps ensure that worship services are organized, meaningful, and spiritually enriching for the congregation. This includes coordinating worship leadership when the pastor is absent and arranging for guest speakers or ministers when needed. The committee may also invite special musicians or guest singers to participate in worship services throughout the year. Members help oversee the schedule for ushers and candle lighters and assist with preparations for Communion services. In addition, the committee helps plan and organize special seasonal worship events that support the life and traditions of the church.
Typical Events & Activities
Throughout the year, the Worship Committee supports a variety of worship-related events and activities that enhance the spiritual life of the congregation. These include coordinating special music during the summer months when the choir may not be singing regularly, planning church revival services, and helping organize the Joint Thanksgiving Service with neighboring congregations.
