At Hallsville Presbyterian Church, ministry happens through people who are willing to serve. Our Session committees help guide the life of the church, support worship, care for our congregation, and reach into the community. Every member of the church has gifts that can be used for God’s work. Some serve through leadership, others through hospitality, teaching, encouragement, organization, or behind-the-scenes support. Whether you enjoy planning events, helping with worship, serving the community, maintaining church facilities, or simply lending a helping hand when needed

there is a place for you here.

How Session Committees Work

The Session, governing body of the church, organizes its work through committees that focus on different areas of ministry and church life. Each committee is chaired by a ruling elder and often includes other members of the congregation who wish to help serve.

Committees help the church:

  • plan and support worship
  • care for members and visitors
  • manage church resources
  • maintain church facilities
  • serve the community
  • support fellowship and spiritual growth

Many opportunities to serve do not require being a Session member. Members of the congregation are encouraged to help with committees, events, and ministry projects throughout the year.
